Yin Teacher Training

with Easy Tiger Yoga

This training is for yoga teachers who would like to deepen their understanding and teaching of Yin Yoga. 25 Continuing Education Units are provided upon completion with Yoga Alliance and you are led by one of Kansas City’s best and most experienced yoga teachers.

This training covers:

  • Yoga Philosophy

An introduction to the philosophy of yin yoga.

  • Asana

You will learn the physical and energetic alignment of yin postures to lead 60 and 90 minute classes or incorporate postures into a Vin/Yin offering.

  • Sequencing

This training focuses on sequencing yin postures through mindful and intuitive transitions. Additionally, you’ll discuss and learn to discern appropriate counter postures to elevate the students' experience.

  • Pranayama

We cover pranayama techniques to assist the asana, help students tune into their bodies, and aid in the comfort of stillness.

  • Teaching Technique

We believe this is where our yoga teacher training shines! You'll receive information on guiding the yin experience in a yoga class from start to finish. You'll review sequencing, cueing, utilizing props and the energetic principles of yin — leaving with improved cueing and teaching technique, including confident prop usage

“The essence of yin is yielding. Yang is about changing the world; yin accepts the world as it is. Neither is better than the other. There are indeed times when it is appropriate and even necessary to change the world; other times, it is best to just allow things to unfold. Part of the yin practice is learning this yielding.”
